About The Artiste(s)
Unnikrishnan has had extensive training under various Gurus. He has performed a number of concerts all over India, U.S.A, The Middle East, The United Kingdom, The Far East, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. He has received various awards from Music Academy, Chennai and other prestigious institutions. This “A” grade artist of the All India Radio, India has been honoured with the titles, ‘Isai Peroli’; ‘Yuva Kala Barathi’; ‘Nada Bhushanam’ and ‘Kalaimamani’. Unnikrishnan has more than 25 albums to his credit.
Apart from singing Carnatic Music, Unnikrishnan has also recorded over 600 film songs for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. As a mark of his versatility, he received the National Award given by the Government of India for the Best Male Playback Singer for the year 1994, for his first ever film song Ennavale
